Dairy Modernization

About Us

Our Mission

Dairy Modernization is a project that includes a cross-section of parties interested in the province’s dairy sector, including staff from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA), the Ontario Agribusiness Association, University of Guelph, Dairy Farmers of Ontario, the Canadian Farm Builders Association, Farm Credit Canada, Lactanet and independent consultants. We are addressing the common barriers that dairy farmers experience when they are considering the decision to modernize their dairy barns. Our priorities are to share credible and unbiased information to help farmers to navigate the complex decisions by concentrating our efforts on the financial and technical decisions dairy farmers need to make.

Financial support has been provided by OMAFA, Dairy Farmers of Ontario and the University of Guelph.
